It’s that time again - an incredible line-up of 1,221 yearlings is set to go under the hammer at the 2026 Magic Millions Gold Coast Yearling Sale in January.

The catalogue features progeny of 122 individual sires, 14 of which are by first-season sires. Once again, the catalogue boasts a strong contingent of Victorian-sired, bred, and VOBIS-eligible yearlings, adding further interest.

Yulong has the largest draft of any vendor, with a staggering 69 lots. Rosemont Stud, Blue Gum Farm, Kulani, Three Bridges Thoroughbreds, and Balius Farm are among the other Victorian vendors.

Here’s our Part 1 look at some standout Victorian lots that are sure to capture the attention of buyers:

Lot 95 - Street Boss (USA) x Bella Mente (NZ) colt

Part of the Blue Gum Farm draft, this colt is by the impressive stallion Street Boss, who has 10 G1 winners to his name, and out of a G1-placed dam. His dam’s third foal, this colt has numerous winners on his page and is closely related to G2 Danehill S. and VOBIS Platinum Showdown winner, McGaw.

Lot 100 - Pierata x Berimbau colt

One of 11 Pierata progeny in Yulong’s draft, this colt is out of the G2-winning mare Berimbau (Shamardal) - more well-known as the dam of NZ Horse of the Year and 10-time G1 winner, Imperatriz. The colt is also a half-brother to the emerging 3YO, I'mateez.

Lot 416 - Blue Point (IRE) x Kenedna colt

Offered by Kulani Park, this colt is out of 10-time winning mare Kenedna, herself a half-sister to multiple black-type winners Spill The Beans and Matusalem. From the same family as Major Share, this colt is VOBIS Silver and VOBIS Sires qualified.

Lot 458 - Extreme Warrior x Last Jedi colt

Presented by Rosemont Stud, this colt is both VOBIS Silver and VOBIS Sires qualified. By a multiple Stakes-performing young sire whose 2YOs are hitting the track this season, he is the first foal for his dam, herself a half-sister to two-time G3 winner, Teleplay. The family also includes the likes of G1 SA Oaks winner Episode, and Champion Australian Sprinter First Seal.

Lot 521 - Alabama Express x Marquise Da Rossa filly

From the Yulong draft comes this filly with a strong pedigree. She has had four foals to race, all winners, including G2 Wakeful S. winner Getta Good Feeling and the multiple Group performer,  Elliptical. Progeny of Alabama Express are certainly impressing on the track, with 5 stakes winners headlined by Treasurethe Moment and Alabama Lass.

Lot 581 - Tagaloa x More Joyous (NZ) filly

Another from Yulong’s draft, this filly is the daughter of Australian Champion Middle Distance Horse, More Joyous. Her dam’s seventh foal, she is a half-sister to G2 placegetters, Joyous Legend and Snowman. Her sire’s oldest progeny are 3YOs and regularly in the winners' circle, headlined by G3 winner, Spicy Lu. This filly is VOBIS Sires eligible.

Lot 964 - Tagaloa x Wandabaa filly

Another Tagaloa filly presented by Yulong, her dam is an eight-time winner, including the G3 Newmarket H., and placed in another nine Stakes races. This is her second foal; her first is a 2YO. The family includes Group winners Olentia, Malkovich, and Sense Of Occasion.

Lot 980 - Pierata x Written Dash filly

From the draft of Longwood Thoroughbred Farm comes Lot 980, a filly with a speed-filled pedigree. Her dam, Written Dash (Written Tycoon), is a G3 winner and full sister to Group-producing dam Ty Dash. This filly is a half-sister to Group-placed Osamu and Written In Code, while the family features many other young black-type winners. She is VOBIS Silver and VOBIS Sires eligible.

We wish all Victorian breeders, vendors, and buyers success at the Magic Millions Gold Coast Yearling Sale.
