The 2025 Inglis Classic Yearling Sale is set to showcase an outstanding catalogue of 806 lots, featuring an exciting mix of proven pedigrees and emerging talent. With a strong contingent of Victorian-sired, bred, and VOBIS-eligible yearlings, this year’s sale presents an excellent opportunity for buyers. Here’s a look at four standout Victorian lots that are sure to make an impression. 


Lot 98 – Lucky Vega (IRE) x Cardannic

Sullivan Bloodstock presents Lot 98, a bay/brown filly by Group 1-winning sire Lucky Vega (IRE), whose first 2YOs have already made an impact on the track including one stakes winning performer Within The Law (Contract Signed). She is out of Cardannic (Bel Esprit), a half-sister to multiple stakes performer Cahuita, winner of the Group 3 McNeil Stakes and Adelaide Guineas. This filly is VOBIS Silver nominated and is eligible for VOBIS Platinum.


Lot 316 – Toronado (IRE) x Impertinente (IRE)

Offered by Blue Gum Farm, Lot 316 is a bay filly by Group 1-winning stallion and proven sire of Group 1 winners, Toronado (IRE). She is the second foal out of the stakes-performed Impertinente (IRE) (Redoute’s Choice), a winner in France who placed in the Group 3 Prix de Psyché. She is a half-sister to Listed winner and Ebor Handicap runner-up Absurd, while her second dam Incroyable (Singspeil (IRE)) was also black-type placed. This filly brings together an international pedigree with elite European staying influences and is VOBIS Silver nominated.


Lot 526 – Written Tycoon x Pippa Charlotte

Yulong presents Lot 526, a bay filly by Written Tycoon, one of Australia’s leading sires and the producer of 16 individual Group 1 winners. She is out of Pippa Charlotte (Not A Single Doubt), a half-sister to 2019-20 Australian Champion 2YO Filly Away Game, a multiple Group winner with over $3.7 million in earnings. Pippa Charlotte is also a half-sister to Group 3-winning juvenile Modern Wonder (Snitzel). This filly boasts an elite pedigree and is VOBIS Silver nominated and VOBIS Platinum eligible.

Lot 532 – Tagaloa x Positive Peace

Also offered by Yulong, Lot 532 is a chestnut colt by Group 1 Blue Diamond winner Tagaloa, whose first crop of yearlings are selling in 2025. His dam, Positive Peace (Stratum), was a top-class race mare with nine wins, including the Group 2 Emancipation Stakes and Group 3 Nivison Stakes. She is a sister to stakes performer Alkaashef and a half-sister to Group 3 placegetter Rotator (Not A Single Doubt). This colt carries an exciting mix of speed and toughness and is VOBIS Silver nominated.
