Magic Millions Adelaide Yearling Sale Preview

The Magic Millions Adelaide Yearling Sale gets underway with inspections commencing Thursday this week, and selling on Monday and Tuesday. 452 lots have been catalogued, featuring the progeny of 105 individual sires, plenty of choices to cater for all buyers. 22 first-season sires have progeny catalogued including the two leading first-season sires in Australia, both of whom are Victorian-based: Leneva Park’s Royal Meeting and Yulong’s Alabama Express. 214 (47%) of the catalogue are VOBIS Silver nominated, and eligible for the lucrative bonus scheme, further increasing the appeal of breeding and racing in Victoria. We have picked out some of these lots to highlight who will turn heads at the sale.

Offered by Longwood Thoroughbred Farm in Victoria, this strapping colt by Darley Victoria’s Brazen Beau is the second foal out of the More Than Ready mare, Kennebec. Kennebec is a daughter of G2 winner and five-time G1 placed mare Hallowell Belle. Related to G1 Manikato Stakes winner Bella Nipotina, this colt is sure to be blessed with speed judging from his pedigree. He is VOBIS Silver nominated and eligible for VOBIS Platinum upgrade.

This pedigree is steeped in black-type, going back to G1 winner Dress Circle, and is one for the shortlist. The filly is VOBIS Silver nominated and eligible for an upgrade to VOBIS Platinum.
