During his career, Fairgray has been involved with some of Australia’s leading stallions including Redoute’s Choice, Flying Spur, Snitzel, Not A Single Doubt, Foxwedge, Dissident, Capitalist and Winnng Rupert, to mention a few. Sam has also been involved with the rearing and sale of many Group 1 winners including, Miss Finland, Mentality, and Forensics.
“We are delighted to have Sam join the leadership team of Woodside Park. The scale of our operations continue to grow and having Sam join the team will add significant expertise and experience to our management group and the Woodside Park brand,” said Mark Rowsthorn, Principal of Woodside Park.
“Sam’s skills are well known throughout the industry, he has a terrific history with two iconic stud operations in Newgate and, of course, Arrowfield.”
Fairgray is equally excited about the opportunity to become a member of the Woodside Park team.
“Woodside Park has stamped itself as one of Australia’s progressive thoroughbred nurseries. I look forward to working with the existing team and further building its profile and production of outstanding equine athletes,” Fairgray said.
“In recent years, I have been fortunate to have worked on two Australian Stud farms that are recognised internationally. The knowledge and experience I have gained from working at these farms will assist in the future of Woodside Park’s development.”
“Sam will be a very welcomed addition to our young and enthusiastic team. He will add enormous value across our three farms; pre-training, stud and the yearling farm at Seymour,” added Murray Tillett, General Manager of Woodside Park.
“We look forward to the contribution he will make.”
