Media are invited to Gnarwarre-based Rosemont Stud this Wednesday morning, 25 June, as Racing Victoria (RV) makes a significant announcement about the VOBIS Gold program for the 2014-15 racing season.

The announcement comes in the lead-up to the 30 June deadline to nominate eligible yearlings (2012-born) for Victoria’s lucrative breeding and racing incentive scheme which is set to enter its third year of operation.

Media will hear from RV’s Executive General Manager — Racing, Greg Carpenter, about enhancements to next season’s VOBIS Gold Premier Race Series and VOBIS Gold bonus scheme.

As a Board Member of Thoroughbred Breeders Victoria (TBV), Rosemont Stud proprietor Anthony Mithen will provide his perspective on the enhancements to VOBIS Gold and what they mean for Victorian breeders and owners.

There’ll be unique vision opportunities including an appearance by Starspangledbanner, a four-time Group 1-winning stallion that sired two feature winners at last week’s Royal Ascot meeting in the UK and now stands in Victoria where his progeny are eligible to be nominated for VOBIS Gold.
