For Leneva Park, this year was the first time selling at the Adelaide Yearling sale and I can’t imagine it will be the last as they were the crowned top Victorian vendor closely followed by Rushton Park. Leneva Park had a draft of six at the sale which included Victorian Sires Rich Enuff, Akeed Mofeed who is currently a resident at Swettenham and a Zoustar colt bred in Victoria to name a few. The highest price paid was $70,000 for the Rich Enuff colt out of Champagne Flute.
Rushton Park had the largest draft at the sale which included a number of yearlings on behalf of Yulong Investments. Lot 146 was the top lot which Rushton Park consigned for Yulong, a Street Boss colt achieving $140,000. Ruston Park had the highest aggregate draft for Victorian farms.
Miranda Park commenced the sale with a bang as lot 1 achieved the third highest price of the sale. The strength of the Palentino’s continued as the filly offered by Willow Grove Stud in Adelaide achieved $120,000.
The striking Puissance De Lune filly was a highlight of Phoenix Thoroughbreds draft and not be missed. This filly will be making her way to Mitch Freedman’s Ballarat stable with the price tag of $90,000.
Noor Elaine achieved the highest price for their Toronado colt out of the Group 1 placed Cincinnati Gal achieving $70,000. Toronado recent success on the track is conveying into the sales ring and have delighted the Noor Elaine team.
Ponderosa offered Lot 342, a Winning Rupert filly which was their top lot of the sale achieving $50,000 for Richardson Racing. Newgate are offering a sizeable cash bonus for all buyers purchasing a yearling out of their first season sires (Capitalist, Extreme Choice, Flying Artie and Winning Rupert) sold at Inglis and Magic Millions 2020 sales. Newgate are offering a bonus of $250,000 which makes it a very attractive selling incentive.
Victorian sires were well represented at the sale and out of the top ten stallions, five reside in Victoria.
