Always a hotly contested title, Written Tycoon’s Group 2 winning son Rich Enuff can lay claim to Australia’s Leading First Season Sire prize after day one of the 2019 Magic Millions Yearling Sale, where the chestnut’s three yearlings to sell resulted in an overall average of $193,333, with a top price achieved of $300,000 for Glenlogan Park Stud’s Lot 131, a colt out of a Show Of Heart half-sister to multiple stakes-winning sprinter Mitanni, that was knocked down to Andrew Williams Bloodstock and B K Racing and Breeding.

The $193,333 average is 14 times his first year service fee of $13,750.

Rich Enuff’s remaining two offerings on day one, Lot 217 from Woodside Park Stud’s draft sold to international breeding and racing organisation Phoenix Thoroughbreds for $170,000, while another from Glenlogan Park Stud, Lot 169, was secured for $110,000 by Edmonds Racing and 2 K Thoroughbreds.

There are a further seven lots by Rich Enuff catalogued over the next few days, including Woodside Park Stud’s Lot 381, a bay filly out of the Redoute’s Choice mare Balsamico, from the family of Group 1 winner D’Argento and Sizzling as well as Written Tycoon’s own Group 3 winner Written Dash.

One can only imagine what the rest of the sale will bring for Rich Enuff and Woodside Park, with the outstanding results that this sale has brought them already.
