The Tony Gollan trained I’m A Rippa came up trumps right on time for his recently relocated sire Love Conquers All.

In taking out the Group 3 BRC Sprint at Doomben on Saturday, the four-year-old gelding put the young Sun Stud sire well and truly in the shop window for broodmare owners.

Having won the $1 million Magic Millions QTIS Open race on the Gold Coast back in January, the aptly named I’m A Rippa again rewarded trainer Tony Gollan’s faith in his progressive galloper.

“He gives you 100 percent all the time, and he’s come back a better horse this prep. He’s one of the most honest horses I’ve had, and I absolutely love him. He never lets me down, and there’s only improvement to come.” Gollan said.

I’m A Rippa holds an entry in the Group 1 Stradbroke Handicap on 9 June.

Sun Stud’s Head of Nominations Mark Lindsay was thrilled with the timely win with Sun Stud having only recently announced the popular stallion’s move south.

“We have been flooded with enquiries since we announced that Love Conquers All was relocating to Victoria,” Lindsay said.

“Love Conquers All was a very talented racehorse in his own right – a Group 2 winner and multiple Group 1 placed. In fact, he is the third highest earner of recently retired Champion sire Mossman. Only 7-time Group 1 winner Buffering, and Golden Slipper heroine Mossfun, accumulated more prize money.

“Breeders are aware of the remarkable job he has done at stud from limited numbers. He was a Champion First Season Sire in Australia (by winners) and missed out on overall (earnings) honours by only $30…with just 58 live foals on the ground from his first crop.”

Love Conquers All progeny include four-time group winner Savanna Amour, Group 2 placed Perilous Love and stakes-placed two-year-old Par Oneri, who are all members of his initial crop. This crop has a remarkable 76% winners to runners ratio.

“Love Conquers All’s bigger books will start to kick in now with 122 two-year-olds and 110 yearlings to come through the ranks. With the larger representation, his progeny only have to keep winning at the current percentages and there will be exciting times ahead!” Lindsay exclaimed.

Looking to repeat the successful training partnership, Gollan Racing/John Foote Bloodstock purchased the yearling full brother to I’m A Rippa for $80,000 at this year’s Magic Millions Golad Coast January sale.

Love Conquers All will stand the 2018 season at Sun Stud for a fee of $8,800 (GST incl) payable on a live foal.
