Bombora Downs
Bombora Downs is a beautifully appointed thoroughbred Stud situated conveniently to Melbourne on the picturest Mornington Peninsula. The peninsula along with being handy to town boasts a mired of attractions not the least of which are the many vineyards, a theme common to some of the world's finest thoroughbred breeding centers including our own Hunter and Barossa Valleys. The temperate climate reliable rainfall and rich soils are ideal for any top end agricultural production and it doesn't get any more top end than the breeding of thoroughbreds.

Bombora Downs is owned and operated by Christoph Bruechert who with a life time spent amongst horses has enjoyed the opportunity of developing his own farm over the last 10 years. With the assistance of a great team equally dedicated to the task, the farm has grown from very modest beginnings into a service provider of some renown. Whilst standing attractive Stallions at reasonable fees, Bombora, s corner stone is and always will be care and service of our clients and their horses. All Services are equally available to residents and outside horses.

Agistment
Seasonal or year round for all ages specializing in the growing out of young horses.
Short-term  agistment also welcome.

Breeding
The accommodation and tailoring of your requirements either to our Stallions or others is but a phone call away.

Foaling
24-7 care by experienced staff is available to all horse owners regardless of your breeding requirements.

Weaning
Branding, Vaccination’s  DNA testing, Micro chipping, 2-3 weeks of intensive handling of foals, separation and drying of mares off.

Spelling
Safe fencing for both Colts and Fillies.

Yearling Prep
8 weeks of individual preparation.  1st class  presentation  Inc marquee at sales venue. Pre sales promotion and Sire cam listings, x-rays and scoping on request.

Mixed Sales
Bombora attends most Melbourne Sales and can present your horses on the day.

Breaking In
4-6 weeks of quiet work resulting in a soft well balanced forward moving horse ready for pre training when the time is right.
