Nomination Fees And How To Qualify
The Nomination Fees specified below are GST inclusive amounts. Nominators registered for GST purposes will be entitled to an input tax credit equal to 1/11th of the Nomination fee paid.
Nominations are now open for foals which satisfy one of the following eligibility clauses.
Eligibility A - $660 (inc GST)
"Victorian Sired" - Open to 2008 foals by stallions that stood in Victoria during the stud season in which the foals were conceived.
Eligibility B - $1,320 (inc GST)
"Breedback" - For 2008 foals sired by Non-Victorian based stallions
provided that their dams are "bred-back" to Victorian based stallions
in the breeding season the foals are born.
For Example: A 2008 foal sired by Canny Lad (NSW Based) is eligible for Super VOBIS if the mare was served by a Victorian based sire in the 2009 Stud Season.
A $1,320 nominator’s fee is payable for a 2008 foal by 1 February, 2010.
Eligibility C - $1,980 (inc GST)
"Victorian Breeder" - For 2008 foals sired by Non-Victorian based stallions if their dams at time of foaling were owned by Victorian breeders and if the foals and their dams both reside in Victoria for six continuous months from the time that the foals are born, until February 1, 2008. A minimum of 50% ownership in the dam by a Victorian breeder is required for a foal to be nominated. A Victorian Breeder is an individual who resides in Victoria or a partnership or company comprising individuals who reside in Victoria.
A $1,980 nominator’s fee is payable for a 2008 foal by 1 February 2010.
